Overview

You may want to connect to your Web Disk through software that has the WebDAV functionality, such as Transmit™ or BitKinex.

 

Connect to Web Disk with Transmit

To connect to Web Disk through Transmit, perform the following steps:

  1. Open Transmit.

  2. Select the WebDAV button and enter the required information:

    • Server — The domain name where your Web Disk is located.

    • Username — The username for your Web Disk.

    • Password — The password for your Web Disk username.

    • Initial Path (optional) — If you leave this text box blank, the Web Disk directory for your Web Disk user will be opened.

    • Port — Specify port 2077 for WebDAV or 2078 for WebDAV with HTTPS 

  3. Click Connect to open the Web Disk folder. 

    Note:

     You can also choose the Mount as Disk option. This will allow you to access the Web Disk directly from your Finder window.

Connect to Web Disk with BitKinex

To connect to Web Disk with BitKinex, perform the following steps:

  1. Open BitKinex.
  2. Select Http/WebDAV in the menu. 
  3. In the Server window, provide the following required information:
    • Server address — Your domain name followed by the port number (for example, www.yourdomain.com:2077 or www.yourdomain.com:2078).
      • For an SSL connection, this will appear similar to the following example: 
      • For a non-SSL connection, this will appear similar to the following example: 
    • Security — Choose either None or SSL based on the path you choose.
    • Authorization 
      • User — The username for your Web Disk.
      • Password — The password for your Web Disk account.
  4. The new connection will appear in the BitKinex list. 
  5. Double-click your site to open your Web Disk
