For cPanel & WHM 11.40

(Home >> cPanel >> Manage Plugins)

Overview

The Manage Plugins interface allows you to add and remove plugins. Plugins provide additional functionality for your server. The plugins listed in this interface will vary from server to server.

Note:

In cPanel & WHM version 11.40, the SpamdStartup, CronConfig, and ClamAV plugins became standard parts of cPanel.
  • SpamdStartup is no longer visible from the Manage Plugins interface. You can Configure SpamdStartup settings from Home >> Email >> Configure SpamdStartup.
  • CronConfig is no longer visible from the Manage Plugins interface. You can Configure cPanel Cron settings from Home >> Server Configuration >> Configure cPanel Cron.
  • ClamAV Scanner still displays in the Manage Plugins interface. You can Configure ClamAV from Home >> Plugins >> Configure ClamAV Scanner.

  1. Select the Install and Keep Updated checkbox for the plugin you wish to install.
  2. Click Save.

Note

Installed plugins will appear at the bottom of the WHM feature menu on the left side of the interface.

Uninstall a plugin

To uninstall a plugin, click Uninstall for the plugin you wish to uninstall.

Manage ClamAV in version 11.38

Note

The following information is for ClamAV installations prior to version 11.40.

You may encounter issues when you use ClamAV if it was installed with YUM. This is because cPanel & WHM applies some customizations to ClamAV.

If you used YUM to install ClamAV, remove it and use WHM to install ClamAV. Run the following command to remove the YUM installation of ClamAV:

yum -y erase clamav clamav-devel clamd

Warning

If a YUM installation of ClamAV was present on your system when you installed ClamAV through WHM, you will need to remove the YUM installation and then reinstall ClamAV with WHM. This ensures that all of the proper configuration files were updated.
